Guajazyl Syrup 200g

Guajazyl syrup is for oral use in case of cough.

Ingredients
The active substance is guaifenesin.
5 ml of syrup contains 125 mg of guaifenesin.

The other ingredients (excipients) are: sucrose, cochineal red (E 124), ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, ethanol, rum essence, povidone, purified water.

Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The drug is administered orally.
1 teaspoon contains 5 ml, i.e. 6.2 g of syrup. 1 tablespoon contains 15 ml, i.e. 18.7 g of syrup.
Recommended dose Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, the usual dose of Guajazyl is:

in children aged 6 to 12 years: 5 ml of syrup (1 teaspoon) 3 or 4 times a day.
in adults and children over 12 years of age: 15 ml of syrup (1 tablespoon) 3 or 4 times a day.
Take the syrup after a meal with a small amount of liquid.

Action
Guajazyl is an expectorant. After oral administration, it increases the volume of mucous secretions in the bronchi and trachea and reduces its viscosity. It soothes cough and facilitates expectoration.

Indications
An expectorant used to treat cough.

Contraindications
When not to use Guajazyl:

if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
in children under 6 years of age;
in patients with liver failure, alcoholism, epilepsy, brain damage, mental illness - due to the ethanol content

Skład
Substancją czynną leku jest gwajafenezyna.
5 ml syropu zawiera 125 mg gwajafenezyny.

Pozostałe składniki (substancje pomocnicze) to: sacharoza, czerwień koszenilowa (E 124), etylu parahydroksybenzoesan, etanol, esencja rumowa spożywcza, powidon, woda oczyszczona.

Dawkowanie
Ten lek należy zawsze stosować dokładnie tak, jak to opisano w ulotce dla pacjenta lub według zaleceń lekarza lub farmaceuty. W razie wątpliwości należy zwrócić się do lekarza lub farmaceuty.

Lek stosuje się doustnie.
1 łyżeczka do herbaty zawiera 5 ml, to jest 6,2 g syropu. 1 łyżka stołowa zawiera 15 ml, to jest 18,7 g syropu.
Zalecana dawka Jeśli lekarz nie zaleci inaczej, zazwyczaj stosowana dawka leku Guajazyl to:

u dzieci w wieku od 6 do 12 lat: 5 ml syropu (1 łyżeczka do herbaty) 3 lub 4 razy na dobę.
u dorosłych i dzieci w wieku powyżej 12 lat: 15 ml syropu (1 łyżka stołowa) 3 lub 4 razy na dobę.
Syrop zażywać po posiłku, popijając małą ilością płynu.

Działanie
Guajazyl jest lekiem wykrztuśnym. Po podaniu doustnym zwiększa objętość wydzieliny śluzowej w oskrzelach i tchawicy, a także zmniejsza jej lepkość. Łagodzi kaszel i ułatwia odkrztuszanie.

Wskazania
Lek wykrztuśny stosowany w leczeniu kaszlu.

Przeciwwskazania
Kiedy nie stosować leku Guajazyl:

jeśli pacjent ma uczulenie na substancję czynną lub którykolwiek z pozostałych składników tego leku;
u dzieci w wieku poniżej 6 lat;
u pacjentów z niewydolnością wątroby, chorobą alkoholową, padaczką, uszkodzeniami mózgu, chorobami psychicznymi - ze względu na zawartość etanolu
